Whoever thought only I had a nose - their are some noses which smell the conversion/ransition of broilers produced within Sikkim in South and West Districts under a particular company/organisation. This is the lot who are said to be the perpeterators of the so called ban on open imports of cheaper West Bengal poultry directly by retailers. This clever lot have not only sold the broilers and eggs as BUSTEE products but also supplemented the supply with imports from Siliguri establishing a monoply as also maintaining a shortage for which latter the unabashed use of government machinery been made resulting in profits beyond imagination.
A similar situation was created about a year ago when an acute shortage of LPG cooking gas was created adopting the same methodology filling the coffers of the powers that be who acquired LPG distribution rights and displaced all other suppliers.
So much for integriy and well being of the people - we are in era of a govt off the people, far from the people and bye the people for personal profiteering and self-aggrandisement.
